UnCommon Oakland is located inside the iconic Rotunda Building, originally constructed in the early 1912. Designed with grand Beaux-Arts architecture, including a soaring 120-foot dome (which is still there!), intricate ironwork, and marble details. After decades of use, the building underwent an award-winning restoration that preserved these original architectural elements while integrating modern infrastructure and high-end finishes.
Rideshare Drop-Off: Most drivers will drop you off on 16th Street, right next to the main entrance.
Parking Garage: Use the garage at 524 16th Street. Once parked, the entrance to The Rotunda is directly across the street.
Public Transit: We’re a short walk from several bus lines and close to BART - Closest BART Station: 12th St / Oakland City Center | Red, Yellow & Orange (right across the street from our entrance)
